Incline Village Fine Art Festival -
Spaces Still Available!
On August 11-13, 2017, plan on visiting the 5th Annual Incline Village Fine Art Festival in Incline Village NV at Preston Field, at the northern end of the Lake Tahoe area. This is a smaller, more intimate event, with about 40 of the highest quality artists!
The Incline Village Fine Art Festival features artists presenting their original work in all mediums of two and three dimensional fine arts, which may include paintings in acrylic, oils and watercolors, photography, etchings, sculpture in clay, glass, metal, stone and wood. Each artist will be present to meet with the public and discuss their work. All work is available for purchase.
In addition to fine art, fine crafts will also be presented. Festival attendees may find blown glass, turned wood, semi-precious jewelry, pottery, stained glass, and an array of high-quality crafts.
Artists from around the country, as well as many from the local area. See the fine photography of Dirk Yuricich of Stateline, weavings from Lawrence and Judith Romiti of Incline Village, interesting and functional ceramics from John Manley of Washoe Valley, fine wood furniture from Thomas Finch of Minden, and very pretty fabric creations from Pam Levy of Tahoe City. These and the other talented artists from around the country, are proud to personally present and discuss their unique
work with you. Learning how something is made, or the story behind it, can enhance your appreciation of the work, giving it more meaning to you, and create a greater connection to the art and the artist.
Another artist, one you won’t be able to miss is Dave Harper of Darby, Montana. He will be one of the artists right at the gate. He works in metal, creating large and small sculptures of bears, trees, children as cowboys and cowgirls…. And then there is the wood furniture he makes that is very interesting. The list goes on and on! Definitely pieces that you would be proud to display at your home.
Also present will be Arts For the Schools (artsfortheschools.org) , a non-profit organization based out of Truckee. Arts For The Schools is a bi-state 501(c)3 non-profit that fundamentally believes that access and exposure to the arts is essential for all. Arts For The Schools fills the gaps in visual and performing arts education for more than 10,000 children at K-12 schools AND provides access to artistic excellence for the public. For 32 years Arts For The Schools has encouraged children and adults to create, perform, learn, lead, understand and discover. Encouraging art for the children (and adults!) is something that CWB Events strongly believes in and supports, donating the space for this event. Stop by and say hi, see what they are up to!
Preston Field is located at 700 Tahoe Blvd, near Mt Rose Highway, in Incline Village, NV.
The hours of the event are from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Admission and parking are free. The event is handicap accessible.
